Which Diet Pills?

Conjugated Linoleic Acid

What is CLA? Does CLA work? Conjugated linoleic acid is a fatty acid that is produced by bacteria in the gut of animals such as sheep, cows and turkeys. Some plants such as sunflowers and safflowers also have small amounts of CLA in their organism. If the right amount of bacteria is given in a specific diet, humans can also produce CLA -at least in theory. CLA helps to transport, store and metabolize fats in the body. Conjugated linoleic acid supplements are sold as expensive fat burners on the market.

Clinical studies have focused on CLA’s ability to reduce fatty tissue and increase muscle tissue in the body. Scientific research on CLA’s weight loss claims depend on mostly animal studies. Studies indicated that CLA improved muscle / fat ratio in animals, but very few studies have been done using human volunteers. Some of these CLA studies resulted in partial fat loss, some of them showed only negligible effects, and in some cases even an increase was observed on the fatty tissue.

For drawing conclusions about Conjugated linoleic acid, long-term clinical studies have to be conducted on human volunteers. Until CLA researchers provide more data in terms of efficiency and safety, we suggest caution in taking CLA supplements. This product must be avoided during pregnancy and lactation.

Conclusion

As well as being an expensive fat burner, CLA has very little proof of its fat burning function, therefore more clinical studies should be carried out on humans. In the meantime, we suggest thinking carefully before investing in a fat burner that may not have a remarkable effect on your muscle/fat tissue ratio.
